    black and white sunday...

opening your mind does not mean you let go of your moral standards or values or heritage
opening your mind means to soar through life with grace and determination to become stronger

a stronger connection within your soul

your soul is, and always will be, there
whether you open your mind up to learn from others is entirely a choice
Native Americans are, and always have been, connected within the Earth and their spirit... their soul... as well as the pioneers who were peaceful and respected their lands and wanted to live amongst them
    they learned from each other
and I never want to be so closed off that I don't learn from others as well

learning how to hunt using a falcon or eagle — like they did — an unbelievable mirror into our lives
we are always on the hunt for something... for more clarity... for more knowledge... for a deeper sense within our soul...

    why we are here
    who we are
    what to do next

like a bird of prey i begin this day on the hunt... for sustenance, to fill me up temporarily, keeping a sharp eye on my surroundings... not caring if my wing is broken... just needing and wanting food
    to keep me alive

    As the March saying goes...
In like a Lamb... out like a Lion...

    our new son
    Daniel Maximus
    10 lbs... 8 oz...
March 9th was my due date, and the beginning of Lent... and indeed, the month came in like a lamb
but he roared the month out He was born on March 31st...
(hence the name Daniel... and Maximus is obvious with his size no?... but also a great saint's name)

thank you all for your prayers... I'm enjoying every minute at home

    B&W Sunday...

I am bearing much patience... still... baby is moving a lot... but inside my womb... I truly feel as though I am carrying a cross...

    our mini-shrine in our home
thank you all for such nice emails and notes (comments) wishing me and baby well
    it really means a lot
and I can feel your prayers... thank you... thank you...
to be honest, it's quite like every day is a week long...
and giving birth naturally, takes patience - a lot of patience
42 weeks was not uncommon just 10 years ago but now, "they" think 38 weeks is the correct time (hence why so many induced labors and c-sections in this country)
all I have to say is "FIAT" [from Latin, literally: let it be done, from fierī to become]
it has been my 'motto' since the day after my actual due date of March 9th...
I am letting it go, and giving my all for this baby
love and hugs to you all:

    Black and White Sunday...

I was coming into a store yesterday with my daughter, and this young man, about 25, was coming towards us...
you could almost see the joy radiating from him... he had a bounce in his step and an instant smile came upon his face, turned to his buddy and said:
"if you aren't smiling within your day... then what the heck are you DOING with your DAY?"
    i love that

    smile!

  • addicted...

    addicted...

    an everyday occurrence bedside...

    writing

    dreaming

    planning

    praying

during one of those times I was reading about angels... true angels... not some flowy gowned pixie dust spreading angel... but the truth of angels...

how we are so very different from them
they are in a constant state with God — seeing Him at all times — being with Him at all times
I don't know about you, but I don't always feel the presence of God
there are dry times... then there are fruitful times... times where it's like I was sitting in the dark reading a book, and someone came and turned on the light so I could see
that night reading of angels, that light got turned on
a connection of understanding that will never ever leave me
that feeling is addicting... I yearn for that feeling of connection... addicted I am
our selves... are spirits... are from God... the Lord granted us this time on Earth... and the bodies which we have, are "holding" that spirit of ours

I will never look at my children the same way again... after realizing this, my responsibility for guiding them the way I am is even more profound... showing them what to do with these bodies... guiding others... helping another... planting food for others... helping those amazing animals we have
it's truly incredible when you think of that... that our bodies are holding our spirits and we have this awesome gift of using our bodies... the angels do not share this... they are spirits in themselves... no bodies if they were to materialize, I am sure they would be sword in hand and ever so powerful... they are there to protect and guide us... not spread pixie dust...
we have been chosen to be on this Earth... we have been chosen to use these bodies
when our bodies are separated from our spirit upon our death... our spirit will not be contained any longer -
now that is amazing... truly truly amazing...
we have a choice on what to do with these bodies... these hands...

    peace + blessings,

    Black and White Sunday...

our lives (as adults) are much too preoccupied with ourselves to stop and enjoy a cup of imagination
    dreams...
like awakening from a hibernation, let's arise from this loathsome slumber!!

it is not too late to dream... no matter what age... what circumstance... what dream it is as long as you are trying to achieve a better you when you reach your dream

when you are on your path to a dream that will better who you are, NOTHING can stop you
    nothing
